ABOUT FOUR PEBBLES™:
Four Pebbles™ offers nature-based mindfulness, meditation, forest bathing, and creative experiences for individuals, groups, and organizations in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and throughout NYC.
Hi, I'm Beatrice Wolert-Weese. I'm the founder of Four Pebbles™, a certified Forest Bathing Guide, Sound Practitioner (ASM), and Yoga & Meditation Instructor, with a background in fine arts, meditation, and holistic wellness.
I created Four Pebbles™ from a desire to bring together the things that have long been meaningful in my own life—nature, creativity, mindfulness, and contemplative practice.
I believe that when we slow down and pay attention, we can experience ourselves and the world around us differently.
My work brings together forest bathing, nature connection, mindfulness, meditation, sound, and guided creative practices to create space for curiosity, presence, reflection, and connection.
Sometimes that means walking slowly through nature and noticing the sounds, textures, colors, and changing light around you. Sometimes it means sitting quietly with your breath, listening to sound, sketching something you notice, or making art without worrying about the finished product.
There is no right way to experience these practices. They are invitations to notice, explore, and reconnect—with yourself, with nature, and with your own creativity.
Come curious. Leave with a different way of seeing.
OUR APPROACH:
FOREST BATHING + NATURE CONNECTION
Guided forest bathing and nature-connection experienceS invite you to slow your pace, engage your senses, and experience the natural world with greater presence. Rather than focusing on distance or exercise, we make space for sensory awareness, mindful walking, stillness, observation, and reflection.
MINDFULNESS + MEDITATION
Accessible mindfulness and meditation practices designed to support greater presence and awareness in everyday life. Experiences may include guided meditation, mindful breathing, sensory awareness, mindful movement, and reflection. Whether you're new to meditation or already have a practice, these offerings provide an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and pay attention.
CREATIVE ARTS + NATURE
Explore nature through visual art and creative practice. Drawing, mark-making, color, collage, nature journaling, observation, and other creative invitations can become ways of slowing down and seeing the world differently. No artistic experience is necessary. The focus isn't on making "good art” or a “final art piece.” It's on paying attention, exploring, experiencing, and expressing.
SOUND + RESTORATIVE EXPERIENCES
Guided sound experiences and mindful listening practices create opportunities for stillness, relaxation, reflection, and renewal.

THE STORY BEHIND FOUR PEBBLES™
The name Four Pebbles™ was inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh's pebble meditation, a practice in which four pebbles represent qualities that can be contemplated through mindful breathing. The image of four simple stones has stayed with me as a reminder of the power of presence, attention, and connection. Thich Nhat Hanh was a Buddhist monk, teacher, author, and peace activist who founded the Plum Village Tradition. His teachings about mindfulness, interconnection, and our relationship with the natural world continue to be an important source of inspiration in my life. Four Pebbles™ is my own expression of these inspirations—not a representation of, or affiliation with, the Plum Village Tradition.
At its heart, Four Pebbles™ is about something simple: Slowing down enough to notice what is already here.
